Alex began her scuba journey in Toronto, completing her PADI Open Water certificate in 2012. She has always had a love for water and adventure, spending her childhood swimming all day at the family cottage. As a professional environmental scientist, she is an advocate for mother nature and sustainable living, which carries over into her diving. She loves to educate others on the importance of our aquatic habitats that we are lucky enough to visit underwater.
Alex is a life-long student and enjoys learning and gaining new skills. She hopes to continue her diving career by becoming an instructor in the near future. Having the Great Lakes in her backyard make local diving fun and accessible, and she wants to continue sharing this space with new divers.
When Alex isn't underwater, you can find her on the water either canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, or enjoying a wakeboarding session. She loves being in nature on land as well by hiking, biking, birdwatching, and enjoying a drink on the patio.
