Maldives
October 2024 (tentative)
Diving in the Maldives is among the world’s best. Be treated to hard and soft corals, swim-throughs, and fun current dives. Plankton from the southwestern currents of the Indian Ocean attracts a variety of pelagic creatures. The Maldives’ waters support the world’s largest known population of reef manta rays in a number of cleaning stations. Whale sharks are also seen year-round. The Maldives are also known for unique underwater topography encompassing outer and inner reefs, small coral pinnacles known as thilas, caverns and walls. You will experience many awe-inspiring moments with life underwater ranging from the largest living fish species, the whale shark, to beautifully colored flatworms, anemones, turtles and copious amounts of reef fish.
