Karen
Karen started diving over 20 years ago and completed all of her training in Tobermory. She is Rescue Certified and has lots of cold water diving experience.
She worked at the local dive shop in Halifax, NS while at University for Marine Biology and enjoyed some fantastic diving out East. From there, she moved to Vancouver, BC and worked as a Naturalist on a Whale Watching charter for several years, before returning to Ontario.

Karen has done some incredible warm water diving as well. She spent 2 months in Australia travelling and diving as much as she could on the Great Barrier Reef. Her favourite dive of all time was on the Yongala Wreck out of Townsville. She drove up the west coast of Australia to go diving in Coral Bay and Exmouth in hopes of seeing a Whale Shark. Unfortunately, weather didn't cooperate and seeing a Whale Shark remains on the top of her bucket list. She has travelled to Cozumel several times on dive trips and looks forward to more warm water diving!

Outside of diving, Karen is an award-winning Dog Photographer and has her own photography business. She is an animal lover and has a dog and 2 cats. She enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, especially on or near the water.
