The waters surrounding the entire island is a designated marine park and is one of the oldest marine reserves in the world, covering over 2700 hectares (6700 acres) of coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove vegetation. With over 60 shore diving sites, there is virtually no shortage of places to explore!

Our host for the week is Buddy Dive Resort, an award-winning PADI 5-Star Career Development Centre and a GUE-affiliated dive facility. With 40 years of experience and a house reef that is accessible 24/7, Buddy Dive Resort has made tropical shore diving as convenient as possible. Drive your truck right into the filling station and load your tanks up into your rental truck!

Your accommodation is a spacious 1-bedroom apartment* with an air-conditioned bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony or porch. Relax in one of the swimming pools, at one of the raised sand areas, or spoil yourself with a tropical drink at the pool bar. Enjoy a scrumptious American-style breakfast spread daily to fuel you for a full day of diving. With two ocean view restaurants, you can grab a quick lunch or enjoy dinner under the stars without leaving the resort. If you prefer, you can explore local restaurants or even cook in your apartment – the choice is yours!

Bringing along non-divers? Bonaire is also world-famous for its windsurfing and kitesurfing. Along with caving, mangrove kayaking, flamengo and bird watching, snorkelling, hiking, and mountain biking, there is something for everyone!
